42nd Millersville Turkey Trot

Location: Penn Manor High School – West Gym
Date: Thanksgiving Day
Time: 7 15 A.M (for registration)
The turkey trot is an annual event hosting a 5k run and a food bank donation program. Spectators and competitors are encouraged to bring non-perishable items for donation. The food donation is conducted to help those in need, during the holiday season. The Millersville Turkey Trot 5k will be held at 9am.  Registration costs $20 including a race shirt.  A free 1k run for children will occur at 8:40am.  Families and walkers are welcome.  Donors will be eligible for a lucky draw with a special prize of a 32″ HDTV. Experience the joy of giving on thanksgiving.

Thanksgiving Day Tour

Location: 242 Gap Road, Strasburg
Date: Thanksgiving Day
Time: 9:00 AM
The tour provides the locals as well as the visitors an opportunity to discover the countryside on their own scooter or as a passenger. The guided tour will take you throughout the back roads of Southern Country, past Amish schoolhouses and farms, making stops at some of Lancaster County’s most beautiful covered bridges.  Bridge tours are approximately 3 hours covering 40+ miles of country roads. This is a special tour held on a special day to see Lancaster County like never before.

Free community Thanksgiving Dinner

If you don’t have a place to go for Thanksgiving Dinner just join the community for a free Thanksgiving Dinner at Columbia United Methodist Church. The church welcomes everyone on this auspicious occasion.  If you know someone who doesn’t have a place to go for Thanksgiving Dinner you can simply bring them along with you. Please join us and helps us to setup, cleanup, volunteer. You may even donate a turkey, or make a dessert. Please help the ones who need a family at Thanksgiving.

Dutch Winter Wonderland
